About Me:

    

     I used to describe writing as a hobby, like bowling except I get to wear my own shoes. But it's more than that. For me, writing is cathartic. I think better with a pen in my hand.

     God has revealed so much of His incredible character to me in the midst of my pain, heartache, and grief, and I'm grateful that He also nudged me to write a record of them. I've likewise written of the mountain top experiences, victories, and blessings that could only come from His Hands.        

      But it's not just the highlights and low points of life that cause me to tune into the voice of God. I look for Him and find Him in moments that might be missed because they sometimes seem ordinary. 

      This photo was taken by my son Geoffrey when he dropped by to visit, but my husband Michael and I were headed to a Christmas party at church. Geoffrey insisted upon taking our picture. I'm so glad he did because it's the only one we have from that night. In addition, it's a reminder for me to not wear that dress (which belongs to one of my daughters) to next year's Christmas party, and if that's not enough, it provided a photo for this page. All of this from one brief visit from my son because we chose to pause for a minute.

     Writing allows me to pause and capture moments on the pages of my journals. Sometimes God develops those memories into lessons He wants to share with me. So I've carved out this niche in cyberspace so that I can share them with you.
